Awards
The Institute has received many awards for its achievements in creating space hardware, such as:
- two Orders of the Red Banner of Labour (1971, 1976);
- three Medals of the USSR’s Academy of Science:
- in honor of launching the world’s first Earth artificial Satellite;
- in commemoration of the world’s first Manned Space Flight ;
- in commemoration of the world’s first spacewalk during the flight of the Voskhod-2 spacecraft .
